Group lessons focusing on Persian dance culture, choreography, movements, and body coordination. Select individual or group dances rehearsed in this class would be performed in cultural events, inside or outside CZC.


About Dr. Shirin Golzari;

Shirin has been teaching classical persian dance in the U.S. for 18 years. She learned Persian dance with students of Yelena Avdisian (Madam Yelena), known as the founder of ballet and classical dance in Iran, at a professional level. After immigration to Southern California she decided to teach dance in CZC and transfer this art to the youth of our community. Shirin’s classes in CZC have achieved great success, though during a period of time less than 2 years since she started. Her several classes for students of different age groups, from teenagers dance group to adults dance group, has been performing inside and outside CZC and gained audience’s attention who has voted for her to be the best performer of the program several times. Shirin has got two doctorate degrees in medicine and pharmacy and is currently practicing as a pharmacist.
