Boards & Committees

Board of Trustees: Consists of seven visionary trustees who are responsible for center's investments, financial, legal & tax affairs.

Board of Directors: A group of seven elected directors for each distinct geographic locality, the total of which shall be the number of authorized directors. These diligent and efficient directors set the tone and direction of California Zoroastrian Center and manage the business and affairs of the center ensuring its operation to the fullest capacity.

Committee

Youth Committee: The California Zoroastrian Center Youth Committee is the youth wing of the California Zoroastrian Center, charged with the task of engaging Zarthushti youth and creating a community and space for young Zarthushtis within California via a broad range of events, activities, and programs throughout the year. 

Education Committee: The purpose of Education Committee is to develop educational activities including but not limited to: teaching of Zarathushtra’s message; teaching Persian language, culture, history, and other related activities.

Arts & Music Committee: Will create an environment where our youth and adults will learn about arts & music, and participate in different events. 

Women's Committee: Focuses on participation of women in CZC events, and programs that will enhance the advocacy for women’s advancement.

Gahanbar Committee: The main goal of this group is to manage all aspects of, and prepare food for Gahanbar festivals which are joyous thanksgiving occasions at which rich and poor meet together, new friendships are formed and old disputes are resolved. 

Technology Committee: Performs under supervision of the Board of Directors and provides expert guidance for CZC to develop replacement and upgrade plans as well as incorporate and integrate new Audio and Video technologies into CZC usage. 

Membership Committee: Accepts members from Zoroastrians residing in the United States. 

Event Committee: is made up of 14 members and organizes celebrations.

Public RelationsThe Public Relation (PR) is a committee of California Zoroastrian Center working closely with BOD to preserve and promote the universal message of Zarathushtra.

 

California Zoroastrian Center is recognized by IRS as a non-profit charitable religious organization and is exempt from federal income tax under section 501(c)(3). You can find the IRS approval letter here.
