CZC Board Of Trustees thanks its members and community for its continued support and valuable feedback.
BOT has been working diligently on a plan to improve the interior of the CZC Orange County building for the past two years. The initial plan considered expanding the building, however, due to feedback from members in the recent general meeting, we decided to scale back the project, focusing on renovating and remodeling the existing space. The following outlines important information regarding the CZC renovation phase 1 interior project:
Expected cost, approximately $500,000
Funding of the project will come partially from CZC’s own funds, and partially from donations
Contract selected through a competitive bid process
Project to begin the Mid September 2023
The project will take approximately four months to complete
CZC will be closed for the duration of the project
Separate arrangements are being made for the office & Sunday Amoozesh classes
The main features of the renovation project include:
Flooring, windows, doors, lighting & audio/visual, walls, ceilings, Niayeshgah, kitchen, library, and painting throughout the building's interior and exterior
In addition, we are pleased to announce that we have formed a new committee of experts to explore the possibility of acquiring additional property for the benefit of the community, encompassing a more dynamic space that will further promote and enhance cultural and sports activities in the Orange County area. This committee will conduct a thorough analysis of the potential sites, costs, benefits, and challenges of such a project, and will report back to us with their recommendations. We believe that the new community center will increase engagement and accessibility for the majority of our members, especially the youth while fostering the growth and vitality of our community. The BOT is working in collaboration with the CZC OC BOD to ensure a smooth transition of center programs during this time. In the upcoming weeks, the CZC OC BOD will be providing additional updates about program plans and other information regarding the project.
